This was the first original song I played for strangers on the internet. I uploaded an acoustic version to the "open mic" section of a game called Twitch Sings, which allowed people to join me in a duet, if they wanted. I can still remember how nervous I was. At that time in my life I had given up on my music, and was only flirting with the idea of taking it seriously again. The response I got was overwhelmingly positive. Cut to now where I'm filling out details for an album release that those same encouraging voices funded as I cry happily into my coffee.
lyrics
Beautiful eyes, you lock me in your gaze
Try though I might, I cannot look away
You - you're not what I expected to find
Now I'm forgetting why I should run from your side
One gentle kiss, the pain alleviates
Poisonous lips annihilate me
And every dream that I trade for this bliss
But who can resist? I'm starving alone in the wilderness
Beautiful distraction, keep me hypnotized and I
Fall for the enemy
Powerless reaction, I am paralyzed and now
You get the best of me
Is there no one safe from your deceit and lies?
I know I've been told this road isn't paved with gold
But I see it glitter and I'm sold, falling slow
For the enemy
My hands are tied, you've captured your next slave
But it feels justified, I don't even try to break free
And now I'm blind to the truth at my side
That we win before we begin if we stand and fight this
Beautiful distraction, keep me hypnotized and I
Fall for the enemy
Powerless reaction, I am paralyzed and now
You get the best of me
Is there no one safe from your deceit and lies?
I know I've been told this road isn't paved with gold
But I see it glitter now I'm sold, falling
Falling, falling, falling
We're going down
Beautiful distraction, keep me hypnotized and I
Fall for the enemy
Powerless reaction, I am paralyzed and now
You get the best of me
Is there no one safe from your deceit and lies?
I know I've been told this road isn't paved with gold
But I see it glitter now I'm sold, falling slow

This track is so beautifully written, it is an absolutely wonderful song which presents this idea that when two people love each other unconditionally they can experience life in a way that is entirely different than what they have previously experienced. yodaleiaheehoo

Like a velociraptor, Dani is the smartest and most adaptable Danisaur. Her music will crush your soul and save you life at the same time. The best decision you could ever make is becoming a listener of hers on Twitch and joining the bowl or floor, but don’t worry there are nachos! coachshipley
